I often hear people say, “I have no regrets.”

I have plenty. Over the course of 44 years on this planet I’ve done things I wish I could take back, given the opportunity to do so, I would. Having regrets isn’t a bad thing, it’s a human thing.

What we do with our regrets is up to us; rather than obsess over things you cannot change, use it as a teaching tool to benefit your life. When I reflect on my past mistakes or wrongdoings, I take into account how I’ve worked to either make them right or used them to learn more about who I am in order to make the change I want to see in myself.

Life's a bumpy journey, think of your regrets as a part of your roadmap. Where you choose to take it is up to you.
