24 hours to a new you

In roughly 72 hours a new year will arrive; with it a new set of goals, aspirations and the wondrous sense of renewed hope.
People will start to exercise, they’ll create vision boards, set plans into action - their energy will be intoxicating. But, as each day fades into the new year, so will their enthusiam.
Unfortunately, 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail. Why? Because many of them aren’t realistic. And most importantly, the people making them aren’t in the right mindset.
I haven’t made a New Year’s resolution in over a decade. For me, every new day is a new opportunity. I recently heard Thomas Miller, host of the podcast Subconscious Mind Mastery say his two most favorite parts of the day are when he goes to sleep and when he wakes up. I couldn't agree more. Imagine feeling that excitement of starting a new year every day.
When I go to bed at night I think about how I lived my life that day. If it was in line with what makes me happy and with being a good person, I get excited to continue doing it. If I am not satisfied with my actions of the day, I get excited about having another shot at it tomorrow. I don’t have to wait 8,760 hours to renew my goals, create the life I want, or be the best version of myself. I just have to wait 24 hours.
